Mr. Baldwin is a litigation and appellate advocate for small businesses, corporations, municipalities and individuals in federal and state courts on matters concerning: business transactions; insurance coverage; declaratory relief; employment practices (including Workers’ Compensation, ADA and discrimination); personal injury; land use; intellectual property; and municipal law. A founding member of Coles, Baldwin & Kaiser, he has been awarded the ‘Very High Rating’ by Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. Mr. Baldwin has appellate experience before the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Connecticut Supreme Court, the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Compensation Review Board (the appellate division of the state Workers’ Compensation Commission) in addition to appeals and submissions before numerous state administrative agencies and commissions.

Mr. Baldwin also serves as counsel to several municipalities and small and mid-size corporations on matters concerning general municipal law and commercial transactions including contract formation and negotiation with Fortune 300 companies. Mr. Baldwin has considerable experience counseling such clients on employment practices, intellectual property, insurance coverage, joint ventures between public and private entities and asset purchase agreements.
